So, it was not unusual for me to opt to buy the Clark's listed here, as I have about 10 other pairs. However I read the reviews critiquing the sizing. Having recently purchased some sandals on Lands End that were way too wide, I heeded the comments here that indicated these shoes ran wide. As I have a size 10 foot but a bit on the narrow side, I ordered the 10 Narrow. Normally I purchase medium. The narrow size also was quite a bit cheaper. They fit perfectly. I have no complaints and really enjoy these shoes and thank the people that let me know they ran wide...so I'm passing this on too. They have a wonderful brushed leather sole that is wonderful against bare feet. I also noted my Doctor has a pair, so they must be comfortable for the amount of standing she does daily. I did note they don't have a pronounced arch and have a negligible heel. This means I do have to be careful wearing them too much, as I have issues with heel spurs if I don't have either enough arch or enough heel. These shoes are a good crossover. The foot is mostly covered but there's enough ventilation in the front for comfort along with the sling back heel. They have proven comfortable for all day wearing with soles that absorb the impact of walking. I have narrow feet and the narrow size I got works great! Of the nice variety of colors offered, I chose the bronze color which is basic but slightly zippier than plain brown which I like. I like closed-toe sandals and can't bear the smooth leather/plastic footbeds on so many. These are even better than my old Rockports. Very comfortable, pretty much true to size, and they look great for work with capri-length pants, skirts or full-length pants. They go right into after work shorts. Love these so much I bought 3 pair -- just in case it takes another 10yrs to find this type of shoe again.
