I read some of the other reviews and I don't have any problem with the middle leather piece moving over to the side (likely because they fit my feet so well there is no room for it to move), nor do they "squish" when I walk (likely because they fit my feet perfectly). I have bunion issues sometimes and my foot is wide in the toe area. These shoes are the perfect width in that area and they do not irritate my bunions. They are so soft and very light-weight. I may never wear anything but Clarks from this point forward. My sister has worn only Clarks for years and she kept telling me to try them. Had I known then what I know now, I would have tried a pair years ago. Comfy slide, needs more holes to adjust strap   July 13, 2010 Karolein My only negative is that I need to have some additional holes added to the strap so I can tighten it. Otherwise they are loose. I like the color, nice for summer to fall. Clarks sandals   June 29, 2010 Exercise Gal (Connecticut) These Clarks Sandals are very comfortable and look great. They are true to size. But although Clarks are great walking shoes, I wouldn't count on walking very long distances in them since they really don't have much support. But, after all, they are sandals and you can't have fashion in strappy sandals and expect the support of a walking shoe. But for casual walking (think the mall) they are great. Very disappointing...I returned them. Come to think of it, this is the second time that has happened with the Clark's Artisan line. Maybe it is a manufacturing design flaw that they should address.
